The Duke and Duchess of Sussex they should be stripped of their titles while Harry should be dropped from the succession line after his Netflix documentary, a survey by The Mail on Sunday has concluded.

The survey found that 44 percent of people think they should lose their titles, while only 19 percent disagree.

A similar proportion, 42 percent, think Harry should be dropped from the line of succession, with 23 percent disagreeing.

Almost a third, 28 percent, think they should not be allowed to attend King Carlos III’s coronation, with 31 percent disagreeing.

Forty-two percent of people think Prince Harry should now be dropped from the line of succession. He is currently fifth in line to the throne.

There have been calls for King Charles to remove the titles from the Sussexes after the controversial release of the documentary.

The survey, conducted by findoutnow, also shows the wide divergence of views on different age groups.

While more than half of those over 65, 51 per cent, think the Sussexes should lose their titles, only 16 per cent of those aged 25-34 think they should.

Four in 10 voters who watched the TV series said it made them more sympathetic to Harry and Meghan, while 26 per cent felt less sympathetic.

A separate Deltapoll poll also challenges the couple’s view that they have been treated unfairly by the media.

A total of 51 percent think they have been treated fairly, while 31 percent think they have been treated unfairly.

Images released today by the US streaming giant show the Duchess of Sussex singing and a series of previously unseen photos of the couple dancing at their 2018 wedding with VIPs including pop legend Elton John, a friend of Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

That poll also found that almost half of people (49%) think the monarchy is good for Britain, with almost two-thirds (65%) believing we should remain a monarchy and more than half (55%) cent) believing that we will continue to be monarchists. We will have a monarchy in 50 years.

Chris Holbrook, founder of findoutnow, said: “Over two million people in the UK watched the Duke and Duchess of Sussex TV series. Therefore, it is a ratings success for Netflix.

“It is less clear that people’s perception of the couple or the Royal Family has changed. If anything, each side is becoming more entrenched. If you already liked Harry and Meghan about the royal family, you still like them, just a little more. If you’re inclined to side with the traditional royal family, this series makes you feel even stronger that way.”
