Ally McCoist got his names mixed up when he accidentally labeled a former Manchester United player ‘world class’ during a chat with Laura Woods.
Woods asked McCoist to name which top-ranked players fall into that category and was visibly shocked by the response she received.
McCoist thought about the question for a few seconds before saying, “look at guys like Zaha, world class.”
A surprised Woods made a surprised expression before replying, “Zaha?”
McCoist then came to his senses and corrected himself, saying: “I meant Salah!”

“Did I just make someone up,” he continued as the pair started laughing.
“No, Wilfried Zaha” Woods replied. “I thought this was an interesting topic to jump right into. He doesn’t even play in the Premier League.’

McCoist then embraced his mistake, joking that Zaha “has been a personal favorite of mine for a while.”
