Allison Langdon left in total shock after she’s brutally ‘replaced’ on A Current Affair: ‘You’re no longer needed’
Allison Langdon scored one of TV’s most coveted roles when Tracy Grimshaw announced her departure from A Current Affair last year.
But it appears the former Today show host’s days may already be numbered after the flagship program shared footage on Instagram on Wednesday evening.
In the clip, Ally is seen walking down a corridor at Channel Nine in Sydney on her way to film the flagship programme.
The TV veteran seems to live in a world of her own as she practices her opening monologue for that evening’s episode.
She is soon stopped by a burly gentleman in a hoodie and dark sunglasses who prevents her from entering the studio.

‘Mate, can I come in? I’ll be on the air in five minutes,” Ally says.
“You’re not needed anymore,” he replies, before Ally shrugs, “Why?”
The clip continues with footage in the studio, while a floor manager counts in the live broadcast.
‘Opener is gone. Stand-by. In four, three, two…’ he says.

It soon becomes clear that it’s all a skit for little champion Nicky Tadros.
Nicky, 11, lost his mother and was seriously injured in the Sea World helicopter crash on Jan. 2, which killed a total of four people and injured nine.
He broke almost every bone in his body in the accident and also had his right leg amputated.
