Allison Holker defends revealing late husband Stephen Boss’ dark secrets in tell-all book after backlash

Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ widow, Allison Holker, defended her decision to include his alleged drug addiction and child abuse by a male character in her upcoming tell-all This Far, after facing a barrage of backlash from his friends and family.

The 36-year-old So You Think You Can Dance judge previously claimed she discovered a ‘cornucopia’ of drugs – including mushrooms and pills – in shoeboxes in his closet while choosing an outfit for him to wear to his funeral.

‘I found it very disturbing to hear that so much was happening that I had no idea about [about]’, Allison remembered in her mind People cover story tuesday.

“It was a very scary moment in my life to find out, but it also helped me come to terms with the fact that he was going through so much and hiding so much, and there must have been a lot of shame in that.”

Holker also went through his journals: “He was struggling with a lot inside himself, and he was trying to self-medicate and deal with all those feelings because he didn’t want to do it to anyone because he loved everyone so much.”

However, the Alabama-born pop-and-locking dancer’s autopsy revealed that there were no drugs or alcohol in his system when he committed suicide in 2022 at the age of 40 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Family friend Courtney Ann Platt called the Emmy-nominated choreographer’s revelations “by far the most tasteless, classless, opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life.”

Stephen’s brother Dré Rose reposted Platt’s statement on his Instastory, adding, “No lies are told…”

In response, Allison emphasized her “sole intention” in writing the 240-page memoir, which hit shelves on February 4, and that other people would “take notice.” [of] the red flags I missed before it’s too late.”
