All the work plastic surgeons believe ‘Catwoman’ Jocelyn Wildenstein had done over the years, from eyelid surgeries and facelifts to cheek and chin implants
Jocelyn Wildenstein became famous all over the world because of the drastic change in her appearance over the years.
But the Swiss socialite, who died on Tuesday at the age of 84, always denied having undergone plastic surgery.
She was nicknamed Catwoman for her slanted cat-like eyes and lion-like facial features, and it was reported that she began undergoing cosmetic procedures after marrying Alec N. Wildenstein in April 1978.
However, Jocelyn has always disputed these claims, despite debuting an unrecognizable appearance in the 1990s compared to photos from her younger years.
However, surgeons believe the ‘art dealer’ did indeed go under the knife, as they suspect Jocelyn did repeated work that may have caused complications.
From repeat eyelid surgery to chin implants, MailOnline looked at the experts’ theories.

Utah-based Dr. Jerry Chidester, or ‘Dr. Chiddy’, never treated Jocelyn personally, but Based on her visible transformation, he said he thought she may have repeated faceliftsas well as eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, cheek and chin implants, and repeat filler injections.
“When a patient undergoes multiple or excessive procedures, especially on the face, it can lead to complications that can have both short- and long-term physical and psychological consequences,” Dr. Chiddy warned DailyMail.com in October.
At one point Jocelyn admitted to get a facelift because her then-husband Alec “hates being around old people,” although she later said he told her “that I look very young.”
Dr. Chiddy also believed that Jocelyn had an upper lip lift, as well as a rhinoplasty.
“These repeated changes can ultimately disrupt a person’s natural facial proportions, as evidenced by her early pre-plastic surgery photos,” he said.
‘Additionally, each of these procedures carries its own risks, and performing them repeatedly or in combination can increase these risks, affecting both overall appearance and health.’
“While advances in plastic surgery have made incredible transformations possible, it is essential to recognize limits and respect the body’s natural structures to avoid complications,” continued Dr. Chiddy.
He explained that his role as a surgeon is “not only to improve, but also to advise responsibly so that patients understand the long-term implications of any procedure.”

Utah-based Dr. Jerry Chidester, or ‘Dr. Chiddy’, never personally treated Jocelyn, but based on her visible transformation, he said he believed she may have undergone repeated facelifts, as well as eyelid surgery (seen in 1998)
Meanwhile, surgeon from San Francisco Dr. Corey Maasthe former president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, said he believed Jocelyn’s “transformation began with operations on her nose, which was once very elegant in her youth but gradually changed, resulting in a depressed nasal tip.”
Dr. Maas believed Jocelyn also underwent a lip lift procedure “which compressed the space between her nose and mouth, further altering the proportions of her face.”
He suspects that one of the major changes in her appearance is the result of multiple eyelid surgeries in the 1990s, which resulted in the cat-like corner of her eyes.
The plastic surgeon believed that Jocelyn’s experience “illustrates the complex issue of body dysmorphia within cosmetic surgery.”
“What started as aesthetic improvements gradually escalated into a cycle of procedures intended to correct previous surgeries, contributing to her dramatic transformation over the years,” said Dr. Mesh.
Jocelyn doubled down on her plastic surgery denial in a more recent November 2024 interview with The Sun, but she has admitted she has had a few adjustments.
“I haven’t had any plastic surgery, I’m afraid of what might happen and I don’t like having anything heavy, sometimes it’s a bit heavy and terrible,” she told the publication.
She also said that she had not had any fillers and had heard unhappy stories from those who had.
The socialite, pictured here in 1998, credited her Swiss background with her ‘high cheekbones and long hair’
“I don’t like the Botox,” she said, before adding, “Everyone reacts to it differently.
‘I’ve only had Botox twice. I don’t know if I’m allergic, but when I had it, I didn’t do well. It wasn’t a good result, my face swelled up.’
