All the single ladies! Bijou Phillips parties in LA after quitting Scientology – as rapist ex-husband Danny Masterson’s request for bail is DENIED ‘because he has no wife to go home to’

  • Bijou Philips partied at the Fleur Room lounge in West Hollywood on Friday
  • Her night out came days after estranged husband Danny Masterson was deemed a flight risk by a judge
  • Phillips filed for divorce from Masterson in September following his rape conviction

Danny Masterson’s estranged wife, Bijou Phillips, was apparently partying in LA just weeks after quitting Scientology and days after her husband’s bail request was denied, ‘because he doesn’t have a wife to go home to’ .

Phillips, 43, wore a skimpy black skirt and crop top as she danced the night away at the Fleur Room lounge in West Hollywood.

In the video taken during the night out, she was noticeably once again free of her wedding ring.

Philips completed her look with a pair of black heeled ankle boots and was seen tossing her hair back and forth as she stood at the entrance to the club, where she appeared to try to beckon a male friend to come back inside.

The actress filed for divorce from her That 70s Show star husband in September after Masterson, 47, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for rape.

The actress, who once struggled with drugs and alcohol before getting sober, also quietly left Scientology following the controversial church’s decision to expel it. Meesterson in the aftermath of his prison sentence.

Masterson now faces 30 years to life in prison without bail and will be eligible for parole after 20 years.

His request for bail was recently denied by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo, who oversaw his trial and deemed him a flight risk.

The rejection was partly because his ex-wife of twelve years had filed for divorce after his guilty plea last year.

The order read: β€œIn light of the fact that the suspect has no wife to go home to, the suspect now has every incentive to flee and little incentive to return to state prison to serve out the remainder of his lengthy sentence to sit if his appeal is unsuccessful. ‘

It comes after Masterson’s lawyers Clifford Gardner and Eric Multhaup wrote a motion on January 17 asking the court to grant the disgraced actor bail.

A jury found the actor guilty in May of two rapes committed in 2003 and he was hanged on a third rape charge, which prosecutors have said they will not pursue further for a conviction.

During the lawsuit, Jane Doe called Masterson a “true coward and heartless monster,” adding that to this day she suffers from an extreme fear of the dark and often wakes up crying.

Sometimes, she said, she hides in a closet or screams out the window, “I’m not okay.”

β€œI think life in prison is an appropriate sentence,” she said.

Philips’ divorce filings came as a surprise to many, as she had represented him during his trial.

However, sources close to the couple said they had discussed ending the marriage.

But others told DailyMail.com that friends and family had pressured her to consider divorce to show her daughter that “people should be held accountable for what they do, even if it is someone they love.” ‘
