All the signs Lily Allen and David Harbour had split: How she has discussed Christmas ‘alone’ this year and hints there is trouble at home

Lily Allen and David Harbor have split after five years of marriage – a friend of the couple told Ny Breaking.com – as she recently spoke about Christmas ‘on [her] own’.

The singer, 39, has been spotted using celebrity dating app Raya as rumors swirled that her marriage to the Stranger Things star, 49, is on the rocks.

Lily has been plagued by claims her marriage is in crisis after revealing she is ‘not in a great place mentally’.

Lily had a short, tongue-in-cheek bio on her Raya profile in which she said she was “looking for someone to start couples therapy with,” and indicated that she’s “visiting Los Angeles from New York.”

The English singer-songwriter’s Raya profile surfaced last week for users who told the app they are women interested in dating other women.

It’s unclear what Lily’s preferences are on the app and whether she was looking for a romantic partner or just a platonic friendship.

The friend confirmed that Lily had a profile on Raya, but said the singer was not actively looking for dates, partly because she is not yet divorced and “she takes marriage very seriously.”

A rep for David, 49, who said Lily met at Raya, did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

There have been numerous signs that things haven’t been well between the couple lately, including the fact that they haven’t been seen together since October.

The singer and the Stranger Things actor were spotted at the Denver Broncos And New York Jets Game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in September and together in New York the following month.

Lily also recently discussed preparing Christmas dinner [her] own’ and missed her annual family celebrations with David and her children Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11, in New York, where the couple lived together.

Want to speak to Miquita Oliver about their Miss Me? podcast, Lily talked about how she’s flying from New York to London and then to Nairobi, Kenya, this holiday season.

Miquita asked, “Did you… ‘Cause now you have your own family… Are you doing Christmas dinner by yourself?”

“I haven’t done that yet…maybe once,” Lily replied. “I love cooking, I love preparing, it’s very therapeutic.”

While discussing her “New York Christmas,” Lily hinted that she would be making a last-minute change to her plans this year.

She said: “I had to text my cousin because she was there with my kids.

“Every year I buy four tickets to go see the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center and I completely forget I have these tickets so they’ll have to go without me tonight.”

It comes after Lily started hinting that there are problems in her family life and even said she is ‘bored of men’.

She said on her podcast: ‘I’m having a bit of a hard time at the moment, but I’m trying to keep going.’

In a previous episode she talked about how her two daughters ended up in the line of fire.

‘I exploded and shouted at the kids. I was like, ‘I can’t handle this right now; I’m going through so much, I need you two to behave.'”

She then explained to them, “We’re all going through hard things right now, so I apologize, and I’m sorry.”

In another segment, she described Aaron Batterham, her mother Alison’s boyfriend, as a “pillar” and “the most important male person in my life who is amazing and supportive” – without mentioning David.

For some, a possible clue to the source of her turmoil came when Lily announced, “I’m so bored of men.”

Lily has previously spoken out about having sexual experiences with women — including hiring a “high-class hooker” three or four times “during the breakup of my last marriage,” according to her 2018 autobiography.

Lily was also recently photographed without her wedding ring. Video clips from her podcast show Lily’s left hand minus the large diamond David gave her four years ago.

She was also without one when she attended an addiction awareness event in London earlier this month.

It comes after Lily revealed she is ‘not in a great place mentally’ and has stopped eating.

In her podcast Miss Me? Lily made a candid confession about her mental health.

The Smile hitmaker opened up about how this has affected her eating, with the star admitting she hasn’t eaten and has never felt hungry.

“I’ve been going through a tough time these past few months and my eating has become a problem,” Lily said.

“My therapist and I are talking about it and she says, ‘How long has this been going on?’ And I said, “Well, about three years actually.” And she says, “Okay, why didn’t you say it before?”

“And it’s not because I’m lying about it. It’s just because it doesn’t seem to be at the top of the list of important things I need to talk about, but clearly it is.’

Lily added: ‘I’m not really good at talking about the bigger picture. That’s also something with my ADHD that I don’t connect.

‘And besides, my body and my brain are two very different things to me. I know a lot of people feel like these two things are very connected, but for me it’s very different. I spend a lot of time in my head, and not much time thinking about my body.

‘I’m not doing well mentally at the moment and I’m not eating. I’m not hungry. I’m obviously hungry, but my body and brain are so separated that my body… the messages of hunger don’t go through my body to my brain.

‘I don’t avoid food, I just don’t think about it because I’m so stuck in my head. My body is a few steps behind me.”

Lily and David first connected in January 2019 when they attended the BAFTA Tea Party together.

In November of the same year, the Somewhere Only We Know singer was photographed wearing an engagement ring.

Since tying the knot in September 2020, during the first wave of Covid-19, David has taken on the role of stepfather to Lily’s two daughters.

“I’m in a relationship with three women who all have very different opinions about me at different times,” the actor joked at the time.

He then took a more serious tone when discussing how “making a commitment like that” to the girls “was a huge thing for me.”

The Stranger Things star added, “And honestly, it just makes you feel a little bit more like a man. I just feel a little more grown up.”

Lily has previously credited the Covid pandemic with helping her relationship with David.

Speaking on Alan Carr’s lockdown podcast, she confessed: ‘The pandemic has completely changed the course of my life.’

The couple, who married in Las Vegas in September 2020, had only been dating for about six months when the pandemic hit.

Lily explained, “When the pandemic happened, my now husband and I were actually in the pretty early stages of our relationship, and that was only because he was living in New York and you know they were starting to close things down.

‘We were together for about six months, but we were definitely not at the ‘Let’s move in together’ stage.

“Obviously I had kids, but because of the pandemic I thought, ‘He can’t just sit there alone in an apartment for that long, I mean, how long is this going to last?’

The actor lived in New York, Lily offered him to move in with her and her two children on a trial basis.

“I told him, ‘Get on a plane, come over here,’ and I said to the kids, ‘This is Mommy’s boyfriend and he has no one to stay with, so we’re letting him stay with us,’ and we spent over six months lived together.

‘If we hadn’t spent those six months trying out what it would be like to live together as a family, we would never have had the chance to try that out and I would never have taken the risk of moving.’

“Thank God for Covid,” Alan joked as Lily quipped. “Yes, sorry for all the people who died, but my life has improved immeasurably!”
