Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards had left subtle clues that her 27-year marriage to Mauricio Umansky was on the rocks in recent months.
The hints come in a new light with reports on Monday that the reality TV couple had split amid rumors that Richards, 54, has been seeing country singer Morgan Wade, 28.

Richards has been spotted on numerous outings without wearing her wedding ring in public, addressing Umansky, 53, in April, insisting he and the Bravo star were ‘not getting a divorce’.

Richards was pictured going ringless in the months leading up to the reported split, most notably during an outing in Studio City, California on Feb. 23, without wearing the ring during a workout.
Richards also shared images on Instagram of her not wearing them while working out.
Richards denied that marital problems were not the reason she went without the ring while talking Page six on April 18 in West Hollywood, California at an event in West Hollywood, California where she was pictured with Wade.
“It all started with a stupid picture of me with no ring on,” Richards said of her Feb. 23 outing.
At the event — in support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness at the Fleur Room — Richards said she didn’t want to wear the expensive piece of jewelry amid the rising crime rate in her native Los Angeles, as well as the logistics of the ring that would keep her lifting weights in the gym hinders.
“I didn’t wear my big diamond ring because there’s a lot of crime these days and I thought, ‘I’m not comfortable,'” Richards said. “And B, I just got out of the gym lifting weights, so I thought, ‘That’s what caused that?’ Don’t know.’
Umansky covered the topic a week earlier in the April 10 podcast edition Two T’s in a pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge calling the speculation “so stupid” for claiming there were no marital problems.
“That one stupid story that came out there, and then all the girls, you know, decided to talk about it on the Housewives, and now it’s a storyline,” he said on the podcast.

A source told People Monday that Richards and Umansky “have been separated for a while but still live under the same roof” and “remain amicable as they work out what’s next for them and their family.”
Richards and Umansky married in January 1996 and share daughters Alexia, 27, and Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Mauricio is also stepfather to Kyle’s daughter Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, from her first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
An Instagram user under the handle @facereality16 had theorized about the budding relationship between Richards and Wade, pointing out that they had subtly acknowledged their romance by wearing matching silver bands.
Richards did not acknowledge the split on social media on Monday, when she posted a series of photos of herself with longtime friend Faye Resnick in a series of Instagram Stories posts to wish Resnick a happy 66th birthday.
Kyle’s fame preceded her spot on the Bravo series as she is Kathy Hilton’s sister and Paris Hilton’s aunt. Richards and her family came to limelight in 2010 when she was a main cast member of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The cast also included her sister Kim Richards, Adrienne Maloof, Camille Grammer, Taylor Armstrong and Lisa Vanderpump.
A dozen seasons later, only Kyle remains on the hit reality series (while Vanderpump has had huge success with her own spin-off Vanderpump Rules).

The series’ 12th season revolved around Richards dealing with fragile family relationships – including with Kathy – as Umansky steadfastly supported her through the tense time.
“I’ve always supported her 100 percent no matter what she does,” Umansky said E! News in November. “If she wants to reconcile, I’m all for it. If she’s not ready to reconcile and she has to hold out for a while, then I support her 100 percent.’
The timing of the split comes about a year and a half after the duo celebrated a marriage milestone on their 25th wedding anniversary.
“It means so much, and it’s something we’re both incredibly proud of,” Richards shared Bravo insiders in November 2021. ‘And for me it is one of my greatest achievements. I mean, I find it refreshing, in this city, being married for 25 years is very important. And we are very proud to be a good role model for our daughters.’
Umansky said their marriage had been “wonderful and beautiful” and the long time they had been married flew by.
“To be honest, it feels easy and it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long,” he told Bravo Insider. “And you know, I definitely plan to spend the rest of my life with her. So hopefully it will take at least another 25 years, and maybe another 50 years.’
