All That star Kenan Thompson urges Nickelodeon to ‘investigate more’ as he breaks his silence following ‘tough to watch’ documentary Quiet on Set
Just hours after Investigation Discovery (ID) greenlit a new episode of Quiet on Set, another Nickelodeon star is speaking out about the revelations: Kenan Thompson.
The 45-year-old actor launched his career as a teenager on the original series of All That in its first five seasons beginning in 1994 and its spin-off Kenan & Kel in 1996.
Thompson appeared on the Tamron Hall show on Wednesday, where he spoke for the first time about all the misconduct revelations on All That and other shows created by Dan Schneider on Nickelodeon.
The actor revealed that he never witnessed anything inappropriate while working for Nickelodeon, although he wants the network to investigate further.
“It’s a difficult subject… it’s difficult for me because I can’t really speak about things that I’ve never witnessed before,” Thompson began.

He added, “All this stuff actually happened after I left, and Dan (Schneider) wasn’t really like that with Kenan & Kel.”
“I mean, he got the ‘Created by’ credit, but it was a different showrunner, so our worlds didn’t really overlap that much, outside of All That, necessarily,” he continued.
Thompson explained that “all this negativity outside of our tenure started happening there.”
“I wasn’t really aware of it, but my heart goes out to everyone who was victimized and to their families,” he said.
“I think it’s a good thing that the doctor is there and putting things on display, stories that need to be told for the sake of accountability,” he added.
He admitted that the show is “definitely hard to watch because I have fond memories of that place.”
“And I have fond memories of my co-stars, and to hear that they went through such horrible things is just… it’s really hard,” Thompson said.
Hall said her production contacted Dan Schneider and was directed at his YouTube response, and that they contacted Nickelodeon, who responded that they were “investigating all allegations,” to which Thompson responded.
“Well, investigate more,” Thompson said to applause, adding, “because this should be a safe place, it should be a safe place for children, and to hear all about that is like, how dare you, you know,” Thompson said.

The first four episodes of Quiet on Set debuted last week on ID and streamed on Max following its debut.
The documentary series details the misconduct and toxic culture that Dan Schneider perpetuated on the popular Nickelodeon shows he created.
One of the more shocking revelations was Drake Bell of Drake & Josh, who revealed that he was the young actor who was sexually abused by former dialogue coach Brian Peck.
Bell returns for the new episode of Quiet on Set, premiering Sunday, April 7 at 8pm ET on ID.
