Cleft stones are one of the best devices you have at your disposal Dragon dogma 2, allowing you to cycle new pawns into your party. Some let you browse a library of pawns, others only let you rent a certain type of pawn, and a few can only be used once.

Every type of rift stone in Dragon’s Dogma 2
In Dragon’s Dogma 2 there are three types of splitting stones, each summoning pawns in some way. We’ll go into more detail below, but at a glance these are the categories:
- City gorge stones: Located in cities, you can perform many pawn tasks
- Forgotten rift stones: Single-use Riftstones that summon a random pawn
- Just regular splitting stones: Standard splitting stones
You can find these in every major city or town in the game City gorge stones. These are named after the places where you find them. By using these Riftstones, you can not only summon pawns, but also search for specific pawns, set pawn missions for your main pawn, and so on. Forgotten rift stones are the second type of cleft stone. You can only activate a forgotten Riftstone once; Doing this will summon a powerful pawn that won’t cost you any Rift Crystals to hire, but all of their attributes (including their calling) are random. Finally, common rubble stones are just that: the most common in the game. You can use these rift stones as many times as you like, although the quality of the counters you summon varies considerably. Each rift stone has a different effect on the pawns you summon from it, depending on the name of the rift stone. For example, when you activate a Riftstone of the Fanged, you’ll only encounter beasts, while a Riftstone of the Patterned summons pawns with “distinctive tattoos.” If you are looking for a specific pawn, you will need to check the location of the best rift stone to summon it.

Vermund Gorge Stone Sites

The first (and most important) area of the game is where you’ll find most of the rift stones Dragon dogma 2. If you’re looking for it, remember that Vermund has some high places that you can only get to by climbing rocks.
Battahl Gorge Stone Sites

You will probably go to Battahl after completing the “Feast of Deception” mission. The gorge stones in Battahl are generally easier to find than those in Vermund due to the openness of the area. Don’t forget to look for rocks to climb and reach the higher areas.
Agamen Volcanic Island riftstone locations

The final and most dangerous area in the game, Agamen Volcanic Island, hides only a few rift stones. When looking for rift stones in this area, keep in mind that some enemies can freeze you, making it difficult to make your way through the region from one rift stone to the next.
