All Hidden Levels in Astro Bot and How to Unlock Them
There are several hidden levels in Astro botwhich mainly take the form of hidden planets in each nebula. You’ll need to uncover them if you want to complete each level and save each bot. The trick is that you might not even know you’re missing a planet until you complete the nebula and see that you’ve somehow missed a few bots and puzzle pieces on the progress screen.
In this Astro bot guide, we’ll guide you through it how to unlock hidden levels and show you where to find it all hidden levels.
How to Unlock Hidden Levels in Astro Bot
When you first unlock a nebula in Astro botyou have access to one planet. As you complete more levels, more planets will appear, until you can finally defeat the boss. However, there are a lot of small planetoids hidden in the nebulae, each housing a bone. There are even a few puzzle pieces that have been abducted by aliens, which you must chase around the screen to collect.
To make these hidden levels appear, all you have to do is fly around until they appear! There are, however, some caveats that make it a bit more complicated, but overall it’s so simple.
Often these events won’t become visible until you’ve completed other planets in the nebula, so it’s best to wait until you complete all core planets before poking around for new ones. Once you’ve beaten the nebula boss and the iconic level, simply fly around the screen and crash into planets. Eventually — usually within 20 seconds — an event will appear on screen, prompting you to investigate.
All of these events are very simple. Most of the time, you just have to crash your ship into the planet and it turns into a level. Other times, you might have to fly through a bunch of asteroids, circle some space junk, or chase down an alien carrying a puzzle piece.
In four of the five nebulas, you will eventually find holes that are shaped like one of the four PlayStation buttons. Starting those levels and running through to the end will unlock four new challenges in that nebula, themed around an X, Circle, Square, or Triangle.
If you’ve been flying around for 15-20 seconds and there’s nothing to see, try backing out of the nebula and backing in. Sometimes only one event spawns per trip.
