All Great Katana locations in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
Big Katanas are a new kind of weapon Elden Ring‘S Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Heftier, slower and more powerful than katanas from the base Elden Ring, these weapons deal a lot of blood damage to enemies. There are three in the Elden Ring DLC.
In this Elden Ring guide, I will show you all Great Katana locations in Shadow of the Erdtree – for the Great Katana, the Great Katana of the Dragon Hunter and the Great Katana of Rakshasa.
Great Katana location

The Big Katana is just minutes away from where you start Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Follow the main road in Grave plain to the Three paths crossroads of graceand then head north to the lake. Defeat the huge Ghostflame dragon resting in the lake and drive around until you find a corpse next to a pile of rubble. Loot the body and you will find the basic Large Katana.

Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana location

The The Great Katana of Dragon Hunter is your reward for defeating the Old dragon man – the real one, not the intruder – at the end of the Dragonpit dungeon in Gravesite Plain.
To reach Dragon’s Pit, head east from the Castle Front Site of Grace, just before Castle Ensis. When you reach the Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace, head southwest instead of south and take the lower path. You’ll encounter the Ancient Dragon-Man Invader and then find yourself at the mouth of the Dragon’s Pit. Go through the dungeon to reach the real Ancient Dragon-Man and earn your Great Katana.

Rakshasa’s Great Katana location

You get The Great Katana of Rakshasa for beating Rakshasathe boss within the Eastern nameless mausoleum in Scadu Atlus.
It is quite a journey to reach Rakshasa. First you need to go through Shadow Keep and find the hidden path to the Castle watering holewhich you can find at the bottom of the ladder near the flaming boats after the Main Gate Plaza Site of Grace.
From there, continue south, passing the Recluses’ River Upstream Site of Grace until you reach the Recluses’ River Downstream Site of Grace. Here you take one of two paths down to the river below (if you take the gravestone steps, get off at the waterfall on your left rather than going all the way down).
Follow the river and take the eastern path to find a small mausoleum resting on the rocky shore. Enter and you will immediately face Rakshasa on the other side of the mist door.
