All DLC map fragment locations in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Shadow of the Erdtree map fragments help reveal the map of Old Ring‘S DLC. The expansion includes a multitude of new regions and areas to explore, but it can be a bit tricky to navigate if you can’t see your map.

There are a total of five map fragments to unlock in Shadow of the Erdtree: one each in Gravesite Plains, Scadu Altus, Southern Shores, Rauh Ruins, and Abyssal Woods. While some map fragment locations are fairly easy to find, others will test your exploration skills.

In this Old Ring guide, we show you where all map fragments can be found in Shadow of the Erdtree.

In addition to the location breakdowns by region, here’s a DLC map fragment map to show all locations at a glance:

The Fragment of the Gravesite Plains map can be found once you have the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Head northeast of the Grave site Plain Place of Mercy to find the map fragment, but be careful as a Cursing knifea powerful new enemy with chakrams, waiting for you to cross his path.

Location of the Scadu Altus map fragment

Around the Fragment of the map of Scadu Altus you must first loss Rellana, Gemini Moon Knight in Castle Ensis. Then head north towards the Shadow Keep to Fragment of the map of Scadu Altus just before the camp.

The Fragment of the map of Southern Shores It takes a while to get there, but if you know the route you can get there right from the start of the map.

Our how to get to the Cerulean Coast explains the route in more detail, but at a glance it looks like this:

1. Start at the Castle Front Location of Grace and head southeast through the rock arch.

2. Go down the slope on your left and enter the cave entrance on the left side of the water.

3. Follow the path through the cave and rest at the Grace’s Ellac River Cave Site.

4. Exit the cave and head south downstream, jumping from rock formation to rock formation.

5. Carefully descend the waterfall to the ledges below you.

6. Follow the river south, but be careful of the Furnace Golem on your path. Defeat it or run into the southwestern opening that leads to the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace.

7. Continue south to the coast to Fragment of the map of the southern coastbut again be careful with a Ghost Flame Dragon that will hinder your path.

As with the Southern Shores, you’ll have to bypass a few areas to get to the Fragment of the map of the Rauh ruins.

1. Start at the Moorth Ruins Location of Mercy and head northeast, past the lake and the statue of Marika, into the cave.

2. Go through the cave and head northwest to find another cave leading to the Ancient Ruins Base Location of Grace.

3. Continue southwest to the Fragment of the map of the Rauh ruinsbut be careful with the two golems lurk.

Location of Abyssal Woods map fragment

The Fragment of the Abyssal Woods map requires you to do something else: complete the Dark Light Catacombs.

In short, to reach the Darklight Catacombs, you’ll need to find the illusionary wall in the Shadow Keep and ride the chest that will take you to the Ruins of Unte. Our full guide on how to get to the Abyssal Woods can explain step-by-step, but in summary, once you reach the Ruins of Unte, follow the waterfalls and descend the tombstone ledges until you reach a misty graveyard with a few Rosus imagesSearch along the northern wall for the entrance to the Darklight Catacombs.

After completing the Darklight Catacombs, you will be spit out at the Abandoned Cemetery, Place of Mercy in the Abyssal Forest.

Follow the path south towards the Woodland Trail. For now, ignore the warnings that are posted everywhere.
Continue along the path to the southeast, where you Madding handthat you can beat or run past.
Continue following the same path until you reach the Fragment of the Abyssal Woods map.
