In Shadow of the Erdtree, you get Crystal Tears by defeating Furnace Golems. Each one you find gives you even more offensive and defensive combat options.

There are eight new Crystal Tears in the Elden Ring DLC. The table below shows all Crystal Tears in Shadow of the Erdtree and in which region you can find them:

Deflect Hardtear location

Description: “Improves spontaneous surveillance in mixed physicals.”

Place: The Deflecting Hardtear can be obtained from a Furnace Golem in Grave plainprobably the first Furnace Golem you’ll encounter when you enter the DLC.

Effect: With Deflecting Hardtear in your Wondrous Physick, “damage denial and guard position will be increased the moment you enter a guard stance. Successfully executing an impromptu guard will also strengthen the guard counters.” In other words, if you time your blocks perfectly (à la Sekiro: Shadow die twice‘s deflection mechanism), you can react better in battle.


Crimsonburst Dried Tear location

Description: “steadily restores the HP of nearby allies for a while in mixed physics.”

Place: The Crimsonburst Dried Tear can be obtained from a Furnace Golem in Scadu Atlus, on the road between the Highroad Cross and Shadow Keep Main Gate Sites of Grace. This Furnace Golem is probably the second golem you encounter Shadow of the Erdtree.

Effect: Crimsonburst Dried Tear is useful if you summon other players and want to play the healer.


Cerulean undermining cracked tear location

Description: “Subsidies attack the FP restorative effect in mixed diseases.”

Place: The Cerulean-Sapping Cracked Tear can be obtained from a Furnace Golem in the far eastern side of Scadu Atlusfrom a ridge accessed via a spirit spring halfway between the bridge leading into the village and the Church District’s Highroad Sites of Grace.

Effect: This Crystal Tear restores FP on landing attacks.


Crimson-Sapping Cracked Tear location

Description: “Subsidies attack HP-restorative effect in mixed diseases.”

Place: The Crimson-Sapping Cracked Tear can be obtained from a Furnace Golem in Ancient ruins of Rauhwhich sleeps just north of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, Western Location of Mercy. Walking near the Furnace Golem will wake him up, so be prepared.

Effect: This Crystal Tear restores HP on landing attacks.


Glovewort Crystal Tear location

Description: “Improves ghost attacks in mixed physics.”

Place: The Glovewort Crystal Tear can be obtained from a Furnace Golem on the far west side of Charo’s hidden grave region, north of the Cerulean Coast West place of grace.

Effect: Like Grave Glovewort upgrades, it will increase a summoned spirit’s attack power in battle, but only temporarily.


Viridian Hidden Tear location

Description: “Eliminates all stamina consumption in mixed physicists.”

Place: The Viridian Hidden Tear can be obtained from a Furnace Golem on the northeast side of Charo’s hidden grave region, accessible north of the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace.

Effect: When used, this Crystal Tear will eliminate all stamina, but only for a very short time.


Bloodsucking cracked tear location

Description: “Improves attacks at the cost of HP in mixed physick.”

Place: The Bloodsucking Cracked Tear can be obtained from a sleeping Furnace Golem Ruins of Untewhich you must revive by throwing a Hefty Fire Pot into the basket.

Effect: This Crystal Tear temporarily increases attack power, but reduces your HP over time.


Location of oil-soaked tear

Description: “Coats nearby enemies with oil in mixed physick.”

Place: The Oil-Soaked Tear can be obtained from a Furnace Golem in Ruins of Unte, which sleeps near the Castle Watering Hole. If you walk near the Furnace Golem, he will wake up.

Effect: The oil-infused tear works similarly to the disposable Oil Pot item, causing you to emit “an oily sweat” that drenches nearby enemies in oil, making them highly susceptible to fire damage.
