Aljamain Sterling has revealed that he has gained more than two stones in just one week of defending his UFC bantamweight title.
In a closely contested bout, Sterling defeated two-weight world champion Henry Cejudo by split decision to make the third defense of his 135-pound title.
At six feet tall and with a reach of 71 inches, Sterling has one of the larger frames in the UFC’s second-lightest weight class for men and has previously described the dedication it takes to break the 135-pound limit for title fights.
In a video posted to him Youtube ChannelSterling revealed that his love of food has resulted in a massive body transformation in the days following his win and that he currently weighs 169 pounds.
Accompanied by his team from Serra Longo MMA, including Matt Frevola and former UFC title challenger Al Iaquinta, Sterling enjoyed a celebratory meal at an Italian restaurant.

Free from the dietary restrictions required prior to the fight, the 33-year-old enjoyed a carb-filled selection of entrees including buttered bread, meatballs and pizza.
The bantamweight king then shoved down a large plate of cheese-filled ravioli topped with a vodka sauce for the main dish.
After dinner, Sterling revealed his physique and admitted, “Okay guys, so I’m a little heavy, and by a little I mean a lot.”
Following his victory over Cejudo, Sterling was joined in the Octagon by popular bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley.
O’Malley is set to receive the first title contender of his UFC career when he takes on Sterling later this year.
In an interview earlier this week, the 28-year-old stressed that he has the skills needed to overturn Sterling’s wrestling dominance and take UFC gold.
The 33-year-old has since won two and a half stone in the week following the main draw
