Alison Hammond sent a Facebook Live video of a local news reporter in chaos as she collapsed with uncontrollable laughter.

The This Morning presenter, 47, visited the Woodland View Care Home in Droitwich on Saturday and was invited to appear in a live stream for Worcester News.

But within seconds of participating in the broadcast, she suffered an ill-timed coughing fit that sent her and journalist Shivani Chaudhari into hysterics.

‘Worst Facebook Live EVER!’: Alison Hammond sent a video report from a local news reporter to CHAOS as she collapsed into uncontrollable giggles during the live recording

At the time, the video didn’t gain much traction, as Alison joked, ‘Oh, this is a sham! Isn’t it lucky we only have four viewers – but four people don’t worry’, while Shivani lamented: ‘This is the worst Facebook we’ve ever done!’

As the numbers started to grow, the couple giggled as well, while Alison joked, “We’ve got 51 people now, so we can’t mess around… 85 people, we’ll break it down.”

As the video progressed, Alison appeared to have no idea what she had signed up for and asked Shivani “are you actually a journalist?” before looking at viewership and asking ‘are these all your friends?’

When Alison heard the publication, ‘Worcester News? I love Worcester News really love you.’

It comes as Alison was in tears on Monday when her This Morning colleagues surprised her with a huge party to mark her 20th anniversary on the show.

The presenter, who first rose to fame in the Big Brother house in 2022, said she was “overwhelmed” as she marked the best day of her life.

Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were on the scene when they sent Alison to her hometown of Birmingham to supposedly meet a winner of the Dosh on the Doorstep contest who shared her name.

Holly, who spoke to her co-founder via video link, said, “This is going to be a really good one today because not only does she have the same name as you, but aren’t you in your own town?”

Then the feed to Alison’s earpiece was cut off and as Holly explained that she thought they had a ‘technical problem’, the duo told viewers what was really going on.

“We made everything up because the person we’re surprising today is actually Alison herself, because she’s been on This Morning for 20 years,” Phil smiled, while Holly added, “We’ve prepared a whole morning to surprise. ‘
