Alison Hammond makes a ballet class blunder as she falls over wearing a tutu during dance session on This Morning

Alison Hammond made a ballet class blunder when she fell during a live dance session on Tuesday’s This Morning.

The 49-year-old presenter joined Dermot O’Leary wearing a tutu as they took part in the activity with the Silver Swans – who run dance classes for seniors – on the ITV daytime show.

But Alison almost fell flat on her face when she attempted a low demi-plie as part of the lesson.

She ended up on all fours as she fell in the hilarious moment while the teacher remained very serious amid the chaos.

Alison then struggled to get back up as she shouted: ‘I can’t get up now though!’

The teacher then advised her to pretend there was an egg balancing on her head with a stern voice – to help her posture and control.

The teacher then added, “Okay, let’s take it easy!”

Dermot also channeled his inner prima ballerina as he took This Morning’s ballet class very seriously and took to the barre for a spin.

A few fans on Twitter commented on the funny moment: “You just can’t stop @AlisonHammond from pirouettes,” along with a crying laughing emoji.

Another said: ‘I just loved the swan ballet dancer class! Bless them!’

It comes after it was revealed that Alison will star in a new BBC entertainment series in which she will spend 48 hours with some of Britain’s best-loved celebrities.

The move to the BBC comes just a month after the presenter was ‘rejected’ by ITV bosses when Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard landed the main This Morning gig.

The TV personality – who continues to present This Morning on Fridays and as a holiday reporter alongside Dermot – will enter the homes of stars and give fans a glimpse into their glamorous lives in the new six-part series of Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend.

Alison said that during the series, which will air on BBC One and iPlayer in 2025, she will make sure she leaves “no stone or cupboard unturned” in her quest for celebrity gossip.

“When I’m on a mission, no secret is safe, and believe me, no stone or cupboard will be left unturned!”
