ALISON BOSHOFF: Meghan Markle is promoting a new make-up range by her friend Victoria Jackson

She’s gearing up to launch her own new lifestyle brand, but it looks like Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is still willing to do a friend a favor.

The Duchess is known to be promoting a new makeup line by her friend, makeup mogul Victoria Jackson, who is part of her ‘Montecito Mafia’.

Jackson has just revived her iconic 80s cosmetics brand, No Makeup Makeup.

Meghan wore it to the ESPY Awards, pictured, where her husband Prince Harry was the controversial winner of the prestigious Pat Tillman Award. Her makeup artist Daniel Martin shared her support for the brand on Instagram.

Sources close to the Duchess say she is promoting it purely out of friendship and that no money changes hands. ‘She and Victoria have been friends for years,’ I am told. ‘She loves the product and this was not a paid promotion.’

Jackson wrote on her Instagram, “You look beautiful Meghan! Thank you so much @danielmartin for your support on No Makeup Makeup’s red carpet debut! Xo Victoria.”

Entrepreneur Jackson, 68, lent Meghan her home for a photoshoot with The Cut in 2022 and is a key member of the former actress’ inner circle. The pair were introduced by feminist icon Gloria Steinem.

Meghan celebrated her 41st birthday at Jackson’s ranch in Santa Barbara, near Montecito.

The entrepreneur made a fortune selling Victoria Jackson Cosmetics, which she first started via an infomercial and then on QVC. But she left the business after her daughter was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease and founded a charity that funds research into treatments and cures.

In 2021, she launched “age-positive” skin creams under the name Kind Science, along with another good friend Ellen DeGeneres – who also happens to be a good friend of Meghan’s.

Meanwhile, the duchess is set to launch her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard later this year, with a Netflix cooking series and a branded rosé wine among her first ventures. More homewares and food will follow.
