- Habba will serve as an adviser to President Donald Trump in the new year
Alina Habba wants the media to stop treating the country like a “soap opera” while covering liberal smears against MAGA allies.
The president’s future adviser is demanding an end to the left’s attacks on Donald Trump’s new administration and the White House’s choices.
She tells DailyMail.com that Democrats are working overtime to mount public smear campaigns against some of his more controversial future nominations – most notably Kash Patel, Pete Hegseth and Tulsi Gabbard.
Habba is no stranger to attacks from the media and the liberal public as she faced members of the media as an attorney for Trump and later as a senior adviser to his campaign.
But she says the bullying must stop now that Trump has been elected and is building his team for a second term.
She warned that if they don’t, Americans will no longer fully trust the media.
“This is not something that is new to me, to be honest, it doesn’t fascinate me that much anymore,” Habba told DailyMail.com when asked about the frequent attacks on her.
“I would just urge the media to focus on policy and real issues, rather than ad hominem attacks,” she continued in an interview last week. ‘I think that’s a waste of everyone’s energy.’

Alina Habba warns the media to stop attacking Donald Trump and treating the US like a ‘soap opera’ as she prepares for new role as adviser to the president
“You know, this isn’t a soap opera,” Habba complained.
She added: “This is what runs the country and it must be taken seriously.”
And then she defended some of Trump’s choices to complete his Cabinet.
Habba specifically defended Pete Hegseth, whom Trump plans to nominate as his defense secretary, and Kash Patel, whom he will appoint as director of the FBI.
It comes after weeks of ridicule from Democrats who say Hegseth and Patel are unqualified and were only selected because of their loyalty to the newly elected president.
“I think it’s disgusting what they’ve done to certain people nominated – especially Kash Patel and Pete Hegseth,” Habba told DailyMail.com.
“These are incredibly intelligent people who deserve the right to sit down, have conversations and get validation for the right reasons – and go through the process the right way,” she continued, assuring, “And they are willing to doing.
“But I think the media attacks in this country have to stop,” Habba said. “Not for our sake, but for the media’s sake, because people just don’t give them credence anymore.”
Democrats have little to no power over confirmations now that they have lost control of the Senate in the 2024 elections.
Presidents’ nominations for their Cabinet positions require only a simple majority vote in the Senate, meaning there should be no problem filling his team as long as Republicans hold the line.
