Alien: The Role-Playing Game Second Edition Will Feature New Art and Expanded Scenarios

Since Alien: The Role-playing Game was released in 2019, it has become a fan favorite for expanding on the iconic film series — and on Thursday, publisher Free League Publishing announced that it Use Kickstarter to launch a second edition of the role-playing game on the table.

The Kickstarter campaign will launch this fall and will raise funds to fund the creation of the Alien: The RPG Second Edition Starter Set, which will include an updated ruleset along with new art and content, all of which will be backwards compatible with the original game. The Starter Set will also come with themed dice and expected extras like character sheets and reference cards.

Kickstarter backers will also get the chance to purchase the new cinematic screenplay box set called Recording Protocolwhich Free League said in a press release will “return to the roots of the ALIEN franchise” with a story that unwittingly sends a small supply crew into a “deadly conflict.” The cinematic box set also includes miniatures.

The new set has been completely redesigned, including new illustrations depicting creepy scenes that capture the atmosphere of the original film, as well as the worlds players have created over the past five years while playing the board game.

There is no release date for the new materials yet.
