Alien: Isolation is free to play for Prime members

Whether it’s a coincidence or maybe because Amazon is really good at reading the room, Alien: isolation is free to play for Prime members through Halloween via the Luna cloud game streaming service. This is welcome news in light of Creative Assembly’s surprise announcement this week that a sequel to the first-person thriller is in development. If you haven’t had a chance to play the original, which is still one of the most terrifying games out there, you can quickly fire it up in the internet browser on your laptop, phone, tablet or probably on your smart TV. Luna games support keyboard and mouse, but you can play via a connected controller. Considering that this 2014 game still normally sells for $39.99 on Steam, that’s all the motivation I need to start playing it through Luna.

Amazon is offering two more free and fantastic first-person shooters to Prime members, and these are forever. Eternal damnation (redeemable in the Microsoft Store) and BioShock remastered (GOG.com) is available to pick up now through November 14 and January 8, 2025 respectively. I think if there’s a common thread between all of these games, it’s that they’re filled with beasts and mutations that want to kill you, and I would be absolutely miserable if I were stuck in one of their worlds.

For starters, if you don’t happen to subscribe to Amazon Prime, you just missed out on the biannual Prime Day sale. However, it’s not too late to miss these goodies subscribe if you want. With a Prime membership you can also get your hands on a large catalog of other free games, including Border countries 2 on the Epic Games Store, Kerbal Space Program And Cat quest 2 on GOG.com, and much more.
