Alicia Keys files trademark for Alicia Teas… three years after husband Swizz Beatz surprised her with personalized tea gift line with the same name for her birthday

Alicia Keys has filed paperwork to register the name Alicia Teas as a trademark.

The 15-time Grammy Award-winning artist company, AK Worldwide, has filed the rights to the name TMZ.

The 42-year-old singer seemed to get the idea for her own tea line after her husband Swizz Beatz, 45, gifted her a personalized tea line for her birthday in 2020.

In a now-deleted post on her Instagram in late January 2020, Alicia was gifted personalized tea bags that he called “Alicia Teas.”

She told him at the time: “It means you did this a long time in advance,” said Rebellion TV.

Swizz told her at the time: “Everyone in Starbucks around the world will see Alicia Teas. Happy Birthday darling. Love you.’

The lovebirds first met in the 1990s, when she was 14 and he was 16. They met through mutual friends, but they didn’t hit it off.

When they both found success in the music industry, the stars consistently attended the same events, but Alicia wasn’t interested People.

“We found ourselves in the same circles at various awards ceremonies and industry events. He usually pulled up in a nice car, rolling deep with his Bronx crew and shining with diamonds. I wanted nothing to do with that scene or with Swizz,” she said in her memoir More Myself.

The duo worked together on a music project in 2008, through which Alicia got to know Swizz as a person.

The couple started dating in the fall of 2008; Two years later, in May 2010, they announced their engagement and that they were expecting their first child together.

They married on July 31, 2010 and welcomed their first child together on October 14, 2010: Eqypt Daoud Dean, now 12 years old.

Their second son Genesis Ali Dean, born December 27, 2014, now eight years old.

Swizz, born Kasseem Daoud Dean, has three children from previous relationships: son Prince Nasir, 22, with ex-partner Nicole Levy; son Kasseem Dean Jr, 16, with his ex-wife Mashonda Tifrere; and daughter Nicole, 15, with singer Jahna Sebastian.

Alicia is also the founder of skin and makeup brand Keys Soulcare; she created the brand together with dermatologist Dr. Renee Snyder.

The brand is vegan, not tested on animals and fair trade certified.

Keys Soulcare also has candles.

Alicia began her professional music career at the age of 15, when she was signed to Columbia Records.

The New York native discovered her passion for piano at the age of six and began classical piano training the following year.

At the age of 10, a neighbor who was moving gave her their old piano, allowing her to practice for hours.

After signing with Columbia Records at the age of 15 – before renegotiating her recording contract with Arista Records in 1998 because she didn’t want to name “their box” of who she should be as an artist.

Clive Davis – who worked at Arista Records – started his own record label called J Records and signed her to it.

She performed her debut single Fallin on Oprah and it became a hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Her debut album Songs in A Minor was released in 2001 to critical and public acclaim.

Alicia’s follow-up album The Diary of Alicia Keys also proved a hit; it was released in 2003.

Her third album As I Am was released in 2007 and her fourth, Element of Freedom, in 2009.

Alicia’s fifth album Girl on Fire was released in 2012 and her latest album Here in 2016.
