Alice Carter’s fans have hailed her as ‘the new Madonna’ after she released her catchy new single Don’t Let My Boyfriend Get In Your Way.

The 31-year-old British singer, who is seen as the next big name in pop music, released her first song since signing to Sony Music.

Besides her powerful voice, just like the Vogue singer, Alice’s platinum curls and pearl-covered outfit in the video clip were also reminiscent of Madonna.

The singer, who co-wrote the single with Grammy Award-winning songwriter Theron Thomas, said it “feels good to be back” after a three-year hiatus.

“I have codependency issues, so it’s really hard to leave, even when I’m being treated terribly. This is something a lot of my girlfriends struggle with too.

“It’s so scary for some people to be alone and take that step… so I’ve always dealt with it by having options ready to move on. That’s beyond toxic, but it’s definitely a problem that many people, many people have!”
