Ali Wong says the ‘hardest part about getting divorced’ was dealing with her mother’s reaction

Ali Wong says the “hardest part of getting divorced” was dealing with her mother’s reaction to the news of her split from Justin Hakuta.

Ali Wong opened up about her mother’s reaction to her divorce from Justin Hakuta in a new interview with the hollywood reporter.

The 40-year-old comedian recalled that it was particularly difficult to break the news to her mother, who took a long period of time to deal with her daughter’s separation from her ex-husband.

The artist, who was seen in the company of Hakuta last month, announced that she would be divorcing her husband last April.

Wong began by expressing that he did not anticipate that the news of their separation would affect both his public and personal life.

“I didn’t expect the announcement to be so widespread, but the hardest part about getting divorced was my mother’s reaction,” she said.
