Alexandra Daddario shows her belly when she says that women are getting more work

Alexandra Daddario showed off her toned tummy this week while discussing her new project, Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches.

The White Lotus star, 36, was posing for InStyle Self Love Number while talking about how Hollywood has changed over the decades.

During her interview with writer Alyssa Hardy, the mermaid, who was spotted out and about in New York City last month, said she’s seen things get better for the ladies, both in front of and behind the camera.

“It shouldn’t be a touchy subject, but when I started, I didn’t meet with female directors. They were all the men you ran into,’ said the former fashion model.

‘There’s been a big change [in Hollywood] in terms of how we want to portray women, the number of women working behind the scenes, the number of leading roles for women is increasing,” she shared, saying that she “loves” seeing more women in front of and behind the camera.

New Attitude: In the interview, the siren said she’s seen things improve for the ladies, both in front of and behind the camera.

Fame came early for Alexandra. In 2002 she was only 15 years old when she started working at All My Children.

Then came the Percy Jackson movies starting in 2010. The beauty, who was photographed by Emma Anderson, shared: “I never said, ‘I made it.'”

And the star added: “Even now I don’t feel like, this is it, I’m good for life now.” I’m very, very proud of what I’ve accomplished and I’m grateful, but it’s a ladder.

“You’re always trying to find out,” he offered.

“When you get to a certain age and you’re still doing it, you say, ‘Well, I’m not going back to Marymount now to get my degree and figure out what to do; this is my job.'”

As for the future, he said it was not ‘super strategic’.

Daddario admitted, “For the better part of my twenties, nobody offered me any offers.”

“There are things I’ve done that people don’t take very seriously, which is fine, but I’ve always taken my characters seriously, so I’ve always found something in every project.”

“I think it’s difficult to make plans because you have to adjust them a lot. I feel like if you make plans, God or whoever will laugh at you. Anything can happen,’ said the star who is married to Andrew Form.

Daddario and his new character Rowan on Mayfair Witches struggle to grow up and age, he said.

“I think a lot of us feel [like Rowan]’, he pointed. “You have your coping mechanisms, things you do to help you be happy.

“Sometimes you make bad decisions, but you have this other part of your life figured out.”

The San Andreas star was referring to his own experience with aging. We lose ourselves and become a mess. We have the darkest moments.

The Baywatch actress also touched on her revealing YouTube series that she has worked on for the past three years.

“I think there was part of it, not even consciously, but part of it was like, come on, all these other things that you see aren’t real. And being ridiculous and weird and weird or a little less polished about things, that’s life. We’re all a little weird, so why hide it?
