Alexander Ludwig and his wife Lauren welcomed their first child last Thursday.
On Tuesday, the 30-year-old Vikings alum and his wife announced the birth in a joint Instagram post, revealing that their baby girl arrived four weeks before her expected due date.

“I’ve debated back and forth about whether or not to post something about this, but I’ve decided that we all need to start talking more about the truth,” she began emotionally.

She continued, “Going through this made me realize that I am definitely not alone. It’s so common and yet I feel like it’s not talked about nearly enough. If more of us talked about these things, we might feel less alone and less guilty. Information is power and I want to share more of it.’
The founder of Theirs Is Ours jewelry concluded movingly with, “This will forever be part of our story. By sharing this I hope, if only for another reason, that that one person reading this knows they are not alone.”
