Alexander Isak’s home was reportedly broken into before the Newcastle vs Fulham match.

The Swede played 90 minutes on Saturday as Eddie Howe’s side secured three points at Craven Cottage thanks to a late goal from Bruno Guimaraes.

According to a report from The sunJust days earlier, a gang had attacked Isak’s home in Northumberland after breaking in at around 10pm on Thursday evening.

It is not known whether the 24-year-old or his family were present in the home during the burglary and whether any belongings were taken from the home.

Police are understood to have confirmed that a vehicle had been stolen from the property before it was found abandoned in nearby Dissington.

The incident is the latest example of Premier League footballers being targeted by burglars in recent months.

In January, Isak’s Newcastle teammate Joelinton had his Darras Hall home broken into while he and his family were at St James’ Park to watch the club’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester City.

Officers responded and a police helicopter was dispatched, but the intruders had fled the scene and remained at large.

Jack Grealish was also targeted by burglars over the Christmas period, just days after moving into a £5.6million mansion in Cheshire.

Sasha Attwood, the midfielder’s fiancée, watched Grealish play at home in City’s 3-1 win over Everton and pressed a panic button as the burglars struck.

Police rushed to the scene fearing a possible hostage situation, but the perpetrators were able to escape with £1 million worth of jewellery.
