Nettie, whose artwork hangs in the Groucho Club, exchanged vows with Alex during the pandemic, but had to limit the number of wedding guests due to Covid restrictions, so she had the big party last August.

The artists’ new relationship comes after Alex beamed on Thursday while enjoying a dog walk with a mystery woman, exclusively revealed by MailOnline to be fashion designer and DJ Julia Häxän.

Former T4 presenter Alex had a laugh with the tattooed Julia as she walked her dachshund Lux alongside her dog Simon, who she co-owns with her ex Nettie, in the capital.

Julia is also one half of the London-based DJ duo Rebel Gurl Radio, who specialize in promoting ‘women in rock’, along with her close friend and co-star, Sophie Woodard.

The Daily Mail revealed that Alex and Nettie had quietly ended their marriage after celebrating their wedding together in London last summer.

Alex proposed to Nettie in 2018 after a whirlwind year-long romance and the couple were in a relationship for five years before calling it quits.

Announcing their split on Instagram, Alex confirmed that he and Nettie would “continue to be parents to our greyhound, Simon,” the same dog that was seen walking alongside Julia.

“At the end of last year we decided to part ways,” Alex wrote on Instagram in January.

In the post, Alex explained: ‘We parted ways in the best way possible for two people who have shared incredible experiences, full of love and laughter and as many happy memories as two people can have in that time.

We are still the best of friends despite having made the decision to go our separate ways. Our friends and family have been very supportive of us during this period, and we appreciate all the help we’ve received.’

The Yorkshireman added: “Obviously, leaving a relationship behind is never easy, but we move forward knowing we have the other to trust.”

“It’s as amicable a separation as can be and we will of course continue to breed our sighthound, Simon.”
