The late Alex Trebek’s LA home will be demolished this week, TMZ revealed.
The iconic Jeopardy host lived in the Studio City mansion for nearly three decades, renovating the home himself over the years.
Alex died in the house on November 8, 2020 at the age of 80 from pancreatic cancer, while his wife Jean Trebek sold the house in January 2022 for $6.45 million.
The outlet reported that bulldozers and excavators arrived at the house over the weekend, along with a tarp that went up, according to his former neighbors.

A month after Jean sold the house, the new owners applied for a demolition permit.
Crews were seen taking apart the massive home, with the rest of the demolition expected to be completed this week.
Alex repaired everything in the house himself and even bought a hardware store for DIY renovations, TMZ revealed.
He also drove a pickup truck, the outlet noted, so he could pick up supplies from the hardware store for various renovations around his home.
Alex, who hosted Jeopardy for more than 35 years, was 80 years old when he died of pancreatic cancer on Sunday, November 8, 2020.
His death was announced via Jeopardy’s Twitter account: ‘Jeopardy is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully early this morning at home surrounded by family and friends. Thanks, Alex.”

On March 6, 2020, the host revealed that he planned to continue fighting the cancer and keep working, and that his chemotherapy shrank his tumors by 50 percent.
In February 2019, Alex was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer; he announced the news a month later.
Alex was married to Elaine Calleli from 1974 until their divorce in 1981.
He married Jean Currivan Trebek, 60, in 1990 and welcomed two children together: Matthew, 33, and Emily, 30.
They were married for thirty years until his death.
He also adopted Nicky, 55, the daughter of his first wife Elaine; he adopted her during their marriage.
