Alex Jones has shared a photo of a rare public moment with her husband Charlie Thomson after they finally left London and moved into their new home.
Alex, 47, who co-presented the BBC’s The One Show with her partner, posted a photo on Instagram of herself sharing a kiss with her insurance broker in front of their new home, with a glass of wine to celebrate their new milestone.
The TV presenter wrote an emotional caption alongside the loved-up photo, explaining that the family had made the “big decision” to leave London and move somewhere closer to nature.
The BBC star has been keeping her followers updated on Instagram about her journey, regularly sharing videos of herself packing up her home.
Alex, who has been a regular presenter on The One Show since 2010 and quit this year, admitted it was an “emotional” time for her as she prepared to leave her former home of 11 years.

Alex had her brown hair tied back and wore a striped cardigan and red sunglasses, while Charlie had opted for a dark polo shirt and black sunglasses.
The couple exchanged a sweet kiss as they celebrated finding their dream home.
The emotional decision came when the couple, who have been married for nine years, decided they wanted a different environment for their children: sons Teddy, seven, Kit, five, and daughter Annie, three.
The photo gave fans a sneak peek of the new property, which appeared to be set in a sunny garden. The couple posed outside on a terrace with an olive tree in the background.
In the caption, Alex wrote: ‘We made it and are absolutely thrilled with the new home. Thank you so much for all the support over the past few weeks. We are living in complete chaos, of course, but it already feels like home.
‘It was a big decision to leave West London, where we had been very happy for 14 years, but we wanted the children to have the space to play outside and grow up in nature. It took almost 4 years to find ‘the one’.
‘Somewhere the kids could enjoy nature but still close enough to London for me to get to work which we did. It feels like she was waiting for us to find her. We feel so lucky ‘
In a series of posts on Instagram, the presenter shows off countless stacks of boxes and takes her fans on a journey back in time, rummaging through sentimental items including a baby book and a box of childhood memories.

Alex has previously shared that her husband Charlie struggles with extreme mental health issues, but the couple looked happier than ever in their Instagram post (photo February 15, 2022)
Last month, Alex was photographed enjoying a rare date night in Mayfair with her husband Charlie.
They had enjoyed dinner at Bacchanalia and were joined by Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall.
Both couples were on hand to celebrate Katherine Jenkins’ upcoming 43rd birthday with an elegant dinner.
Alex’s husband Charlie appeared to be in good spirits, after suffering serious health problems.
In 2023, Alex revealed that her husband Charlie had become a “shadow of himself” as he struggled with his mental health. She said she had watched him “fall apart” after becoming seriously ill with Lyme disease and viral meningitis.
Alex told Gabby Logan on her podcast The center point: ‘I think what drives me is the fact that we have three young children and I feel like I have to do my best to provide for them.
“My mom and dad have always been healthy. We’ve always had a balanced diet growing up, but Charlie and I focus on that more than anything.”
Asked how he is doing now, Alex replied: ‘He is good, yes. He is in a much better position now than he was a year ago, but diet has played a big part in that. We always eat relatively well, but he is quite focused on nutrition.

She said she struggles to understand Charlie’s mental health issues and has been honest with him in long conversations.
She said, “He’s trying to explain it, and I said, ‘Do you think I’m a terrible person because I don’t fully understand it?’ And he says, ‘No, but because you’re trying to understand it, I love you for it.’ But he said it’s hard to fully understand it.”
“I listen to a lot of podcasts that talk about depression in depth. And sometimes I think if you’re really depressed — and I’ve seen that over the last few months — you’re not okay enough to be on a podcast. And I don’t know where we are.
‘You feel the pressure, because suddenly you are the breadwinner, the functioning parent.
‘You are now solely responsible for the administration of your life, and on top of that, the person you love most is collapsing before your eyes. You are trying to get him or her back on track, without really knowing how to do it.’
‘I wouldn’t go into detail because Charlie is a very private person, but I think it’s worth sharing because it blows your mind as a family – not just the person who experiences it, but the person who then has to deal with the aftermath of the whole thing. It’s really, really bad.’
