Alex, 47, co-host of The One Show, stuns next to insurance broker Charlie – to whom she has been married for nine years.

She completed her look with silver heeled sandals and a black bag and walked ahead of Charlie to their waiting car.

The couple enjoyed dinner at Bacchanalia and were joined by Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall.

Both couples were there to celebrate Katherine Jenkins’ upcoming 43rd birthday.

Alex’s husband Charlie seemed in good spirits after battling physical and mental health issues.

In 2023, Alex revealed that husband Charlie had become a “shadow of himself” as he struggled with his mental health, and she said she saw him “fall apart” after he became seriously ill with Lyme disease and viral meningitis.

Alex told Gabby Logan on her podcast The middle: ‘I think what drives me is the fact that we have three young children, and I feel that I have to do the best for them to preserve myself.

‘Mom and dad have always been healthy. Growing up, we always ate a balanced diet, but more than that, Charlie and I are focused on that.”

When asked how he is doing now, Alex answers: ‘He is doing well, yes. He’s in a much better place now than where we were a year ago, but nutrition has played a big role in that. We always eat relatively well, but he is quite food crazy.

She revealed that she struggles to understand Charlie’s mental health struggles and has been honest with him in lengthy conversations.

She said: ‘He’s trying to explain it, and I said, ‘Do you think I’m a terrible person because I don’t really understand?’ And he says, “No, but because you’re trying to get it, that’s why I love you.” But he said it is difficult to fully understand.”

‘I listen to a lot of podcasts that discuss depression in detail. And sometimes I feel like if you’re really depressed – and I’ve seen it in the last few months – you’re not well enough to be on a podcast. And I’m confused about where we are.

‘You feel the pressure because you are suddenly the breadwinner, the parent who functions.

“Only the administration of life is now your responsibility, and the person you love most is falling apart before your eyes and you try to bring them together without really understanding how best to go about it.”

‘I wouldn’t go into details because Charlie is super private, but I think it’s worth sharing because as a family you’re faced with six – not just the person experiencing it, but also the person who then has to deal with the consequences of an accident. the whole thing. It’s full.’
