He told BBC Breakfast on Wednesday morning: “I’ve done my research and alcohol is very expensive, for a good beer in Manchester or London it’s very expensive and to quit before Christmas was great.”

“I was looking around last night and I think I saved £1,000 in the last month between taxis, the food you eat afterwards and the drink, it’s very expensive and I’d rather spend that on other things.”

The reality star went on to reveal the reason she gave up alcohol, saying she “doesn’t have a problem” but wanted a healthy lifestyle.

He continued: “I probably drink once or twice a week, I would go out on a Saturday and have a few beers with friends, but my decision comes from a position where I don’t feel like I have a problem with alcohol.”

‘I have taken a step back and said to myself: “What are the benefits here?” In society, you’re just self-enrolled in drinking.

In December, he made the decision to get sober, after admitting that most of his “mistakes and bad decisions” had been made while drinking.

The former ER doctor bravely decided to give up alcohol due to its negative effects on his ADHD and lack of positive benefits for physical and mental health.

He insisted that he did not have a “serious problem” with alcohol, but had begun to become “sober-curious” as he got older.
