“My last shot with @elionogueiraofficial was at this breathtaking waterfall, where magic unfolded,” the former Victoria’s Secret Angel wrote.

‘It is impossible to get to know Portugal just by looking at it, because you feel it mainly with your heart. And those who know, know that it is impossible to leave without feeling nostalgia… the taste of the sea, the smell of the sun and the warmth of our embrace,” Lucas concluded.

The Azores (officially known as the Autonomous Region of the Azores), one of the two autonomous regions of Portugal, is an archipelago consisting of nine volcanic islands in the Macaronesia region of the North Atlantic Ocean, approximately 870 miles (1,400 km) west of Lisbon, Portugal.

The islands are characterized by dramatic landscapes, fishing villages, green meadows and hedges of blue hydrangeas.

The 43-year-old catwalk expert and acclaimed photographer Élio Nogueira teamed up to capture the “rich essence and culture” of Portugal by shooting in the Azores, a beautiful archipelago in the mid-Atlantic Ocean.

While the cover photo captures the beauty of the waterfall, the other photos shared to her Instagram Story give a fuller view of Mother Nature’s splendor as the water continuously falls into the pool.

With a length of more than 600 km, to the west lie nine major islands of the Azores and a cluster of islets, in three main groups, consisting of Flores and Corvo; Graciosa, Terceira, São Jorge, Pico and Faial in the center; and São Miguel, Santa Maria and the Formigas Islets to the east, according to Wikipedia.

All islands have a volcanic origin, although some, such as Santa Maria, have had no recorded activity since the islands were settled several centuries ago.
