Alejandro Garnacho’s place in the Manchester United starting eleven appears to be in jeopardy after a cryptic message from his brother on social media.

The 19-year-old was given the nod from the off in Monday’s uninspiring Premier League opener against Wolves but failed to impress and was replaced on the hour mark by Jadon Sancho.

After narrowly and controversially beating a Wolves side that many expected to be in danger of relegation this season, Ten Hag is expected to make the changes for Saturday night’s encounter with Tottenham Hotspur.

And the Argentina international, who made his way into the starting line-up last season before suffering an ankle injury in February, could return to the bench if his brother’s post is to be believed.

Robert Garnacho wrote Friday: “If you all knew things I know, you would understand more about who starts and who doesn’t.”

Erik ten Hag is expected to make some changes to the team that struggled with Wolves

United were extremely lucky to take all three points from the game against Gary O’Neil’s side.

The Red Devils travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to take on a new Spurs team led by Ange Postecoglou.

Ten Hag is said to have noticed the new attacking momentum from the London club and will be wary of giving as many chances as possible to the likes of Son Heung-min, Jams Maddison and Richarlison.

The Dutch manager could also drop new signing Mason Mount to the bench following his lackluster debut, while Marcus Rashford is expected to continue in the middle with Rasmus Hojlund still out through injury.
