- Alejandro Garnacho celebrated his first goal in front of the Galatasaray fans
- This provoked angry reactions from the home crowd and the players in Istanbul
Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho provoked an angry reaction from Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera after celebrating the opening score in front of the home fans on Wednesday evening.
Garnacho finished off a fine team move to put United ahead and then put his finger to his ear, seemingly calling for more noise from the home fans in what was already a red-hot atmosphere.
Boos rained from the stands and after a few seconds Garnacho appeared to raise a hand to apologize to the angry Galatasaray fans.
But that wasn’t enough for Muslera, who rushed out of his goal to give Garnacho a piece of his mind.
As the players returned to the halfway line, the referee pulled United captain Bruno Fernandes aside to seemingly warn him about Garnacho’s behaviour.
