Alec Baldwin turns Rust manslaughter trial into reality TV show as videographer is seen documenting him and his family during high stakes court case

Actor Alec Baldwin appears to have used his manslaughter trial as the subject of his reality TV show. Exclusive photos obtained by DailyMail.com show him being followed by a videographer on his way to court in New Mexico.

Jenna Rosher, filming with what appeared to be an iPhone 15 ProMax, quickly jumped out of her car as Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, arrived at the courthouse in Santa Fe. She then rushed to her position to film as Baldwin got out with his wife, Hilaria, and walked into the courthouse on Thursday.

Rosher, dressed in a white T-shirt and jeans with the initials SRT, apparently had special access to film the Baldwins. She stood at a distance from the media and paparazzi photographing from outside. She also did not have access to the luxury hotel where Baldwin and his family were staying.

On Friday morning she was there again, this time wearing a pink T-shirt.

When asked by DailyMail.com who she was with, Rosher, 51, replied: ‘No comment.’

Rosher owns a company called Althea Films, based in Encino, California. The company’s website states that she has produced, directed and filmed a wide range of social, political and music documentaries for television and film.

One of the documentaries she worked on, Jesus Camp, was nominated for an Oscar in 2007, but lost to Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth.

Last month, Alec and Hilaria announced their new reality show The Baldwins, which will premiere on TLC in 2025.

The celebrity couple’s appearance on Friday came in a chaotic and chaotic courtroom, where Baldwin’s lawyers demanded his involuntary manslaughter case be dismissed, accusing prosecutors of “hiding” evidence from them.

They alleged that the police and the Public Prosecution Service failed to hand over a number of bullets for inspection on March 6 this year, which is contrary to legal rules.

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer, who is presiding over the case arising from the 2021 death of camerawoman Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film Rust, said the claim was a “problem” and should be heard in the absence of the jury, which she previously sent home.

Sommer asked to take the bullets to court, where she put on gloves and inspected them herself.

The judge did not immediately rule on dismissing the case, but did request that more witnesses be heard.

Baldwin is charged with involuntary manslaughter for accidentally firing a sharp object at Hutchins.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 26, the gunsmith on the set of Rust, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter earlier this year.

She was later sentenced to 18 months in prison, a sentence Baldwin could face if found guilty.

Baldwin’s attorney Luke Nikas told the court that the bullets were brought to Santa Fe police in March by former police officer Troy Teskey.

Teskey claimed they were the same type of weapons used to shoot Hutchins.

Nikas alleged that prosecutors “hid” this evidence by giving it a different case number than Rust’s main investigation.

When Baldwin’s lawyers went to the police in April to view all the Rust ammunition, they were not shown the ammunition. That is a violation of the rules of evidence.

District Attorney Kari Morrissey said they interviewed Teskey last year and were skeptical because he is a close friend of Gutierrez-Reed’s father, Thell Reed.

The Baldwin docuseries offers a glimpse into the couple’s family life, along with their seven children: Carmen, 10, Rafael, eight, Leonardo, seven, Romeo, six, Eduardo, three, Maria, three, and Iliaria, 20 months.

But footage suggests they may be filming during the trial, giving them behind-the-scenes access to gather exclusive content for the Baldwins.

Meanwhile, the couple have made sure to give the media ample access when they go out. Instead of hiding in the presidential suite of their hotel and sneaking out through the garage, they have gone out in public every day of the trial.

On Tuesday evening, after returning to their hotel, the couple walked out through the main entrance with their youngest daughter.

Baldwin, still wearing his trial suit but removing his tie, pushed the stroller up while Hilaria held their toddler, according to photos obtained by DailyMail.com.

They walked into a popular Italian restaurant around the corner, where they sat down in a private room for a relaxing two-hour family dinner with their nanny.

The next evening, the 66-year-old actor, with bags under his eyes, took the family for a stroll through bustling downtown Santa Fe, shopping and greeting locals who wanted to take photos.

The often publicly grumpy Baldwin playfully stuck his tongue out at his daughter as they crossed the street.

He ducked into two clothing stores, where he bought several blazers while chatting with the staff. The Baldwins then rolled into a Starbucks, where he chatted and signed autographs.

Baldwin ignored questions from the media, but he also didn’t run away or avoid the cameras as he walked slowly down the sidewalk, giving the impression that this was just another day for the family man, even though he was charged with manslaughter, which could carry a maximum sentence of 18 months in prison.

Baldwin was a producer and the star of Rust when he shot cameraman Hutchins, 42, a mother of one, to death during filming with a prop gun loaded with a live bullet. The film’s director, Joel Souza, was also wounded.

According to The Hollywood ReporterThere are currently two series of documentary filmmakers discussing parallel versions of his ill-fated western film.

Director Richael Mason, a friend of cinematographer Hutchins, is said to be making a film about her after being recruited by Hutchins’ widower, Matthew Hutchins.

And director Rory Kennedy, 55 and the youngest of Robert F. Kennedy’s 12 children, has been working on a film centered on Baldwin, with his cooperation, according to the outlet.

The stakes for Baldwin in court are incredibly high, and were painfully illustrated in February when Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 26, the gunsmith on the set, appeared in court and was found guilty of the same charges.

On Wednesday, Baldwin sat at the defense table in the courtroom and appeared nervous, while Hilaria and his brother Stephen Baldwin, who is also an actor, sat behind him in the public gallery.

The 66-year-old actor, who won an Emmy Award for 30 Rock, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

The case had a long and arduous path to trial: Baldwin was originally charged in January 2023 with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Three months later, they were withdrawn based on new evidence, prosecutors said, adding that they needed more time to investigate.

Baldwin was indicted for the second time on the same charges in January of this year.

The case is expected to last eight days, with evidence and arguments presented, followed by deliberations.
