A popular product sold only at discount supermarket Aldi is being urgently recalled amid fears of possible electrocution.
Aldi’s Worzkone dual USB PowerPoint is being recalled due to concerns that faults in the product could lead to death or serious injury.
Product Safety Australia warned consumers to stop using it ‘immediately’.
This year it was sold for more than two months, between May 27 and August 4.
The defects in the socket are ‘weak contacts’, according to Product Safety Australia.
Consumers should stop using it immediately and return it to an Aldi for a refund or arrange a free replacement.
The identification features include an electrical approval number of SGS-2200882-EA and a SKU of 708521.
