A huge change is coming to Aldi Australia’s popular Special Buys aisle: ‘I never saw this coming’

Aldi Australia has announced a huge change coming to its center aisle on April 13.

The popular retailer is launching its streetwear range ‘ALDImania’ for the first time instead of the regular Special Buys offering.

The Aldi-branded merchandise includes a double-walled mug very similar to the popular Stanley cups and a pair of Adidas-style slippers.

There will also be hoodies, sweatshirts and sweatpants, just in time for winter.

The streetwear range also includes cool accessories such as bucket hats, beanies and ‘crisp white sneakers’.

This is the first time Aldi has launched its own streetwear collection and follows the success of non-fashion retailers such as KFC who have done the same.

Belinda Grice, ALDI Australia purchasing director for ALDImania, is eagerly awaiting the world first.
