Aldi Australia sends shoppers racing over a new $5.99 item: ‘It’s just so delicious’

A young foodie has sent people to Aldi after trying the German retailer’s mini churros for the first time.

Snack lover Emily tried the chocolate and apple filled mini churros from the frozen section of the store and was delighted.

“Holy cr*p, these are so good,” she said after biting into the first one, which was so perfectly crunchy that the sound was caught on camera.

“It tastes just like a Maccas apple pie,” she added.

The young woman in charge of the Snack Reviews Aus TikTok and Instagram accounts, then gave the camera a closer look at the bite-sized snack, showing off the ratio of filling to dough.

The apple-filled snack rated as simply delicious. Emily went ahead and tried the chocolate version.

“Holy smoke,” she said as she bit into it.

She revealed that the apple version was her favorite, but she loved them both.

And her followers couldn’t agree more.

“I can vouch for the apples, delicious,” said one woman.

‘OMG I tried this one and sprinkled cinnamon sugar on it. So good,” said another.

People admitted that they went to the supermarket to try the snack at Emily’s suggestion.

“I can’t wait to fill my freezer with this, it looks so delicious,” said one.

A few people admitted that they tried the treat and “didn’t rate it,” but most agreed with Emily’s review.

Emily said she put the churros in the air fryer at 200 degrees Celsius for six minutes.

She added that there are “ten or eleven” in each box.
