Aldi Australia set to launch beauty buy that costs a fraction of the price of celebrity-loved $585 item: ‘It’s life changing’
Aldi Australia is to release a high-tech beauty gadget that costs $300 less than a celebrity-endorsed version.
The Illumia LED Light Therapy Face Mask ($249) will hit the Special Buy aisle starting October 5 for a fraction of the cost of the Currentbody mask, which retails for $585.
The device provides clinically proven results and can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, sun damage, redness, dullness, spots and inflammation.
It comes with 11 pre-programmed treatments to stimulate collagen production, target the bacteria that cause acne and help promote a natural and healthy glow.
Owners of the futuristic facial care gadget are raving that it does ‘wonders’ for their skin and at a much lower cost than many brands of LED face masks.
“This works, I could see results within the first two weeks of using it… it’s life changing,” said one.
“I noticed a reduction in redness within a week and now get compliments often… my skin is so much more resilient,” another added.
‘I use it 4-5 times a week. I absolutely love the results. And because it’s flexible silicone, I also use it on my neck and chest,” said a third.

Some people even preferred the budget model over an alternative high-end version that costs more than $600.
“The Aldi mask has many more features than the Omnilux mask (red, blue, green light) and has the same intensity, including near infrared, it is much better value for money,” said one.
The mask’s design is described as safe and non-invasive and is made from medical-grade silicone. The preset programs have a duration of 10 minutes and provide easy rest and rejuvenation.
Fans of the LED device recommend using it several times a week as part of a relaxing skincare ritual.
This latest news comes after Aldi’s recent ‘Special Buys’ re-release of a range of quirky meerkat garden statues for $14.99.
The footage features meerkats dressed in costumes from The Wizard of Oz, including Dorothy and The Wicked Witch, and was last released two years ago.
Excited fans took to Facebook to comment on the ‘super cute’ statutes and many had their sights set on buying one.
“I didn’t know I needed this in my life until now,” said one.
