‘World’s most popular’ chocolate hard launches three new flavours at Aldi Australia – and it’s only $3.99

The brand behind ‘the world’s best chocolate’ has launched a delicious new range at Aldi Australia with three flavours to choose from.

The budget supermarket chain joined forces with Tony’s Open Chain by Tony’s Chocolonely to create three new delicious flavours.

Aldi’s own-brand chocolate bar, Choceur CHOCO CHANGER, is available across Australia from Wednesday for $3.99 each.

The sweet flavors are Milk Salted Caramel Brownie, Dark Salty Fudge Almond and Milk Honeycomb Nougat.

Dutch-based Tony’s Chocolonely delighted customers last year with its introduction at Coles and Woolworths for $8 each.

The Salted Caramel Brownie is made of soft, creamy Belgian milk chocolate with crunchy brownie and salted caramel pieces.

Lovers of Belgian dark chocolate will undoubtedly enjoy the Dark Salty Fudge Almond, made with salted toffee fudge and caramelized almond pieces.

Alternatively, the Milk Honeycomb Nougat is also made with Belgian milk chocolate, nougat and honeycomb pieces.

‘We are proud to be one of the mission partners of Tony’s Open Chain. We improve working conditions in the cocoa chain and ensure that every step is traceable and transparent.

‘For everyday chocolate lovers, this means you can enjoy a delicious treat while supporting a more ethical cocoa industry. Every purchase helps us create systemic change that has a positive, lasting impact on farming communities.’

Paul Schoenmakers, Head of Impact at Tony’s Chocolonely, added: ‘I am proud to welcome ALDI as a new mission ally. Together we can increase our impact on the ground. It proves that the Open Chain model works and we are ready to scale.’

Earlier this year, fans went into overdrive when they spotted Tony’s Chocolonely bars in the ‘Special Buys’ section with a price tag of $4.99.

“$4.99, seriously? They have the white chocolate strawberry cheesecake and the dark milk chocolate brownie,” the customer said in a video.

She chose two popular flavors: White Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake and Dark Milk Chocolate with Brownie.

After it launched Down Under last year, Australian fans on social media called it “the best chocolate ever” and “10 times better than Cadbury”.
