Alaska police and US Coast Guard searching for missing plane with 3 people onboard
Authorities in Alaska are searching for a missing plane with three people on board.
Alaska State Troopers received a report of a missing aircraft from the U.S. Coast Guard shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the Department of Public Safety said in a statement.
The 1948 single-propeller aircraft Beach Craft Bonanza was flying near Mount Crillon in southeastern Alaska with a pilot and two passengers.
The plane failed to arrive on time in Yakutat, about 275 miles (442 kilometers) northwest of Juneau.
The search involves state troopers, the Coast Guard and the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center, the statement said.
