Alan Wake 2’s anniversary update delivers infinite health, ammo and more

Remedy Entertainment celebrates the first anniversary of Alan Wake2 with a new update that includes many accessibility features. The “Anniversary Update” is coming to PC and consoles on October 22, bringing a new menu with an assortment of gameplay toggles that can make it easier to progress through the game, both as a new player and for someone looking for speed through a second playthrough. Not to mention, the game is quite scary at times, so some of these options can make playing feel less stressful.

Here is the full list of options:

Additionally, on PS5, the game supports gyroscopic aiming with the DualSense controller, and the controller’s haptics will now rumble when using healing items and throwables, while previously they only worked with firearms. On all platforms, Remedy has also added the ability to invert the X (horizontal) axis for mouse and controller (Y axis inversion is already available).

Aside from the game’s anniversary, the update comes just before the debut of Alan Wake2‘s final bit of story DLC, The Lake House. It’s also in time for the upcoming PS5 Pro update that will make the game look better (and presumably run better too). If you’re looking for a deal on the title, you can only find one on the Epic Games Store for Windows PC, where it’s 50% off through Halloween.
