Alan Ruck’s car crash site graffitied with Ferris Bueller’s Day Off tribute – nearly three months after Succession star struck restaurant with his vehicle

The restaurant where Alan Ruck crashed his car last year was recently defaced with a tribute to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

The side of Raffalo’s Pizza, the Hollywood eatery that Ruck hit with his vehicle on October 31, 2023, was spray-painted with the message “Save Ferris.”

The message was a reference to the cult classic Ruck co-starred in with Matthew Broderick, the 1986 comedy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

However, the ‘Save Ferris’ tribute has since been removed.

Last Halloween, the Succession star, 67, reportedly damaged three vehicles before plowing his own vehicles into the restaurant. He miraculously emerged from the scary car crash unscathed, but was spotted wearing knee-high socks in the days that followed.

Last Halloween, the actor allegedly damaged three vehicles before plowing his own vehicle into a Los Angeles pizza restaurant.

He was driving his Rivian R1T electric truck when he crashed into Raffallo’s Pizza restaurant at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.

In December it emerged that Alan was being sued by one of the drivers involved in the accident.

TMZ reported that a man involved in the four-car crash that evening claimed Alan hit his car before then crashing into the restaurant.

The person – whose name is Horacio Vela – claimed he was at a red light when the actor allegedly hit the rear of his 2020 Hyundai Elantra, causing him to crash into another vehicle.

The incident has since been ruled an accident by police. Officers investigating the case have theorized that Ruck crashed his truck because he was unfamiliar with the vehicle’s high-tech design.

In the documents, Vela claimed he was taken to a hospital by ambulance and suffered “serious injuries and damage.”

He also stated in the lawsuit that the crash caused him to suffer “property damage, costs of past and future medical care, pain and suffering, mental anguish, emotional distress and other consequential damages.”

Surveillance footage of the crash showed Alan’s truck hitting the back of another vehicle, which was pushed into the cross-section of the busy street.

After the crash occurred around 9 p.m., the front portion of the star’s electric vehicle could be seen stuck in the front of the building, causing damage to the structure.

Sources said this at the time TMZ that a few persons had suffered injuries, but that they were ‘conscious and breathing’.

The next day, LAPD Sgt. Hector Guzman told it Los Angeles Times that “injuries have been reported, but they appear to be minor,” while adding that they are “nothing life-threatening in nature.”

Police later said that no drugs or alcohol were found in Alan’s system, according to TMZ.

A few days after the crash, the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off actor appeared in Studio City and briefly commented on the incident.

While running some errands, he was asked about the crash and said, “I’m fine and thank God no one was killed.”

He was wearing a knee brace on his left leg, but Alan explained: ‘This isn’t because of the accident, it’s because I’m getting old.’

Ruck had told police at the scene that he did not know what had happened to cause his truck to crash.
