Alabama fan goes viral for furious rant after team’s third loss of the season
- Alabama’s playoff chances look bleak after losing to Oklahoma
An Alabama superfan has gone viral for his angry rant following the team’s third loss last weekend.
The Crimson Tide, who are in their first year under new coach Kalen DeBoer, lost 24-3 to unranked Oklahoma, dealing a huge blow to their College Football Playoff prospects.
And regular “Paul Finebaum Show” caller “Legend” unleashed on his beloved team after the loss, calling the team’s performance “disgusting” and making a crude analogy to DeBoer and former coach Nick Saban.
“Man, I’ve never been so embarrassed in my entire life,” Legend told Finebaum in a clip that has now been viewed 1.3 million times. Losing ‘three friggen’! Are you kidding? Are you kidding? This is disgusting, dude!
‘What I saw on Saturday evening was pathetic! It was disgusting, dude! You know, Paul, when you go from coach Saban to coach DeBoer, it’s like going to bed married to Beyonce and waking up with Whoopi Goldberg next to you, brother. How do we accept it?’

The Crimson Tide have lost three games in their first season under new coach Kalen DeBoer
DeBoer succeeded the legendary Saban in January after the seven-time national champion (six at Alabama) decided to retire.
The 50-year-old DeBoer came from Washington, where he posted a 25-3 record and reached the national championship last year.
“What hurts my heart is that it’s clear this man is overwhelmed,” he said of DeBoer. “And you went through the best program in the world and you can’t do this job! … He’s out of his league, he has no idea what he stepped into.
“On behalf of myself and 70 percent of the Alabama fan base, we want a divorce.”
Perhaps surprisingly, Alabama remains alive to make the CFP, as the latest rankings revealed Tuesday placed them at No. 13 (the top 12 qualify).
Still, Legend was resigned to the Tide missing the Playoff and said he didn’t care about beating the team’s hated rival Auburn this weekend.
“I don’t even care who the fuck I am!,” he said.. “I don’t care which one of you little Alabama fans gets your feelings hurt because Legend keeps it 100! But damn the iron bowl!
“It’s about national championships in Alabama. I don’t care about beating a weak Auburn team! It’s about playoffs and championships! It’s just sad!’
According to ESPN’s College Football Power Index As of Tuesday, Alabama has just an 8.2 percent chance of making the Playoff.
To do that, they will have to beat Auburn and get plenty of help elsewhere.
