  • Saudi side Al Hilal has reportedly made a huge bid for Victor Osimhen
  • Napoli have apparently received a £120.3 million bid for their striker
  • The Middle Eastern outfit has also offered the star a huge weekly wage

Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have reportedly earned an astonishing £120.3 million from Napoli for their star striker Victor Osimhen.

The Saudi Pro League squad continues its pursuit of bringing the world’s brightest talents to the Middle East and have apparently submitted the huge bid for Osimhen to the Serie A champions.

The offer comes days after Kylian Mbappé turned down a move to the club worth £700 million a year and highlights Saudi Arabia’s commitment to attracting top talent.

In addition to the three-figure offer, Al Hilal has also tried to lure Osimhen into personal terms with a proposed wage of £1 million a week, according to Sky Sports.

Osimhen has previously been a target for Manchester United, but interest from the Premier League giants appears to have cooled with the imminent arrival of Rasmus Hojlund at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old has apparently held talks about extending his contract with Napoli, but was unable to find a solution with his existing contract due to expire in 2025.

However, Al Hilal’s huge offer is expected to be rejected after the top Italian club put a £170 million price tag on their prized asset.

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis previously explained that he believed PSG were the only club able to buy Osimhen, but that was before Saudi’s apparent interest.

“The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain,” he told Mediaset at the beginning of July.

“If Nasser Al Khelaifi (chairman of PSG) wants to make an offer of around £170 million, we’ll wait and see what happens. Personally, I think Victor will stay here.’

Osimhen scored 26 goals and led all scorers to become the first African player to claim the coveted Capocannoniere crown awarded to Serie A’s top goalscorer.

His goalscoring performances further helped Napoli end their 33-year wait for the Scudetto while cementing his place in the club’s history.

Osimhen joined the Serie A champions from Lille for £69 million in 2020 and would become the highest-profile player to join the Saudi Pro League if a deal between the two clubs is completed.
