Ajax star Dusan Tadic was reportedly attacked by two armed robbers in an incident outside his home last month.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf have claimed that the scary incident took place when he arrived home after midnight on July 28.
Tadic was getting out of his car when he realised something was wrong as he was approached by two armed men wearing helmets.
He immediately tried to leave the scene but was involved in a physical confrontation with his assailants.
It’s said the former Southampton star managed to pull down the visor of one of the pair before slapping them.
Tadic was then able to escape the scene to a local restaurant while the robbers fled on a scooter after the fight as per Serbian news outlet Espreso.

Tadic had plasters on his hand when Ajax played PSV just two days after the incident is said to have took place which involved two armed robbers who approached him wearing helmets
Tadic suffered minor injuries to his hand and tore his clothes, with De Telegraaf reporting that the armed robbers were probably looking to take the player’s watch.
It’s also said that two men with helmets knocked on the door of his house pretending to be pizza deliverymen in the days before the attempted robbery.
On that occasion, Tadic was not at home and his wife became suspicious so did not open the door.
The Serbian wore plasters on his right hand against PSV in the Johan Cruyff Shield just days after the attack on July 30.
Tadic played the full duration of the match, as Ajax suffered a 5-3 loss to their Eredivisie rivals.

He has since gone on to feature in a friendly against Almere City, and Ajax’s league opener in a 3-2 victory over Fortuna Sittard.
The incident comes more than a year after PSV striker Eran Zahavi’s wife and three children were tied up and gagged during a break-in last year, as per the Sun.
His wife Shay took to Instagram to reveal the family are all fine ‘physically’ but stated the emotional recovery would be a long journey.
Zahavi missed PSV’s Eredivise match against Willem after rushing home when he heard about the robbery.

‘It is important for us to make it clear that we appreciate this very much and feel very loved in the Netherlands.’
Steven Bergwijn and Siem de Jong have also reportedly been targeted in previous years.
