A’ja Wilson leaves fans in stitches with expletive-laden response to question about USA teammate during live Olympics broadcast

A’ja Wilson had nothing but praise for her teammate, Kahleah Copper, as she gave a succinct, yet profanity-filled review of her performance at the Paris Olympics.

After the U.S. women’s basketball team won their eighth consecutive gold medal, an NBC reporter asked the WNBA superstar to describe Copper.

“That bitch,” she promptly replied during the live broadcast, before the network could squeak out the swear word.

Wilson then looked straight into the camera and walked away.

“I was laughing at the TV,” one fan wrote on X.

“She’s right!!!,” said another.

A third added: ‘For me it’s the look into the camera. SHE IS NOT LYING.’

The 28-year-old, who celebrated her birthday earlier this week, scored 21 points during the United States’ 67-66 win over France on Saturday.

Copper, in turn, scored 12 points, including two crucial free throws with 3.9 seconds left.

Their victory came less than 24 hours after the U.S. men’s team also defeated France in the final, marking the first time in Olympic history that both gold medal games were played by the same two teams.

Unlike the men’s game, this match came down to the final minute and a final shot from France, which went just inside the three-point line.

LeBron attended the women’s finals with his wife Savannah and their 9-year-old daughter Zhuri Nova, while teammates Bam Adebayo and Derrick White sat next to them.

The family of the late Kobe Bryant was also in attendance at the game, celebrating the victory with Sabrina Ionescu, who was escorted by the Lakers legend.

His widow Vanessa and daughters Natalia, Capri and Bianka could not contain their joy as they embraced after the shooting guard won gold in her first Olympic campaign.

Ionescu worked closely with Kobe to develop as a player as their mentor-student relationship developed during her college years.

After the five-time NBA champion passed away in 2020, Ionescu remained in touch with Bryant’s family as her professional and international careers took off.

That same year, Ionescu was the first-choice draft pick by the New York Liberty.
