A state-of-the-art air fryer found at Goodwill for just $5 turned out to contain a stomach-turning surprise: a piece of an old sandwich.
In a video posted to TikTok, a customer was seen standing next to the flashy kitchen appliance.
“I’m so happy with that Instant Pot air fryer from Goodwill for $5,” she said, before pulling the handle and revealing the moldy piece of food.
“Oh, there’s a free sandwich included,” she said.

At that moment the camera zoomed in on the piece of uneaten food.
Between the two pieces of yellowish bread were seemingly random pieces of cold cuts and some old cheese.
It appeared that the air fryer baking sheet surrounding the sandwich was covered in oil and grease.
“Oh my God,” groaned the man recording the clip, clearly feeling sick.
The TikTokwhich was shamelessly posted by kristen_, was humorously captioned, “This should be illegal.”
The air fryer in the video resembled the Instant Vortex 2QT Mini Air Fryer, which sells for $76.44 at Walmart.

The clip has almost 77,000 likes and many viewers expressed shock and outrage in the comments.
“Gross,” one user wrote, adding a vomit emoji.
“That’s ridiculous,” another astonished commentator noted.

Another user said that the last time she shopped there she found “Hillshire Farm lunch meat” in an article.
Many people also indicated that they would have bought the air fryer despite the piece of bread.
