Aidan Turner was seen indulging in a sandwich and a cigarette as he took a break from filming a new tennis drama.

The Poldark star will swap a grass field for a grass court as he served up a sporty look on the set of Amazon Prime’s Fifteen Love.

The actor was seen in a powder blue polo top with navy piping as he chowed down on his lunch at the east London studios.

Aiden paired the striking top with some navy shorts and typical white shin-high tennis socks.

After changing into a white tee and comfy turquoise tracksuit bottoms, he also enjoyed a cheeky cigarette between takes on set.

The new series, from Line of Duty producer World Productions, is set in the elite world of tennis.

It portrays protagonist Justine Pearce as a one-time rising star whose sudden success at 17 took her and her coach Glenn Lapthorn to the quarter-finals of the French Open.

Turner is playing Glenn Lapthorn in the drama.

Daisy Edgar Jones’ ex boyfriend Tom Varey was also on set and appeared to be taking on the role of a tennis player.

His leading role in BBC’s Poldark saw him obtain not only an NTA award, but an army of fans.

But Aidan, who played the title role of Ross Poldark from 2015 to 2019, is charging his admirers £150 for an autograph and a selfie. 

The dashing Irish actor, 38, will appear at the London Film and Comic Con event in July, which presents an opportunity for viewers to meet their idols.
